Getting Started

Want to know more about what to expect during your float session? Read below to learn more!

Our Process

Arrive on Time! We’ve built in a buffer to get you checked in & allow time for your pre-float shower. Your time will start 15 minutes after your scheduled appointment time.

Tour our Float Room! We will show you to your room and give you a brief overview of what to do and what to expect. Feel free to ask any questions and discuss any concerns.

We provide everything you need for your float.

In the room you will find:

  • Earplugs to keep salt out of your ears

  • Facewipes to remove makeup

  • Plant-based Vaseline for protecting cuts or scrapes that may be sensitive to the salt

  • Shower to remove lotion, hair products, deodorant, and perfumes

Prior to stepping into the float tank:

  • Take a quick rinse in our shower to remove all products from skin.  This helps us keep the solution pristine for everyone.  Do not use shower products in your pre-tank shower.

  • Dry your face and hairline to support you in not touching your face once in the float tank-the water can sting if you get it in your eyes.

During the float:

  • Body position-The only other thing in the tank with you is a neck support. Sometimes while getting used to the new environment and maybe not trusting the solution to support your head, you may hold tension in your neck and not fully let go. This will eventually lead to discomfort that the neck support will relieve. So start by rolling your neck out and find a natural spot for head to sit. Another factor in your comfort is your arm position. We are all built and shaped different so we all float differently. Try different positions with your arms — over your head, at your sides, across your chest or stomach, or whatever seems natural for you. There is no right or wrong way to float.

  •  Basics- Once you’re in, you may close the door if you choose. Opening and closing the tank during your float is totally in your control. Although you’ll lose some of the warmth, you can leave the tank open if you’d like. Whether you just need a quick breath of fresh air, you’re ready to get out or your time is up; just push on the door to open it as there is no button, latch or knob.

  • Whenever you’re ready, you can turn off the light by pushing the button. It sticks out from the wall so that you can find it in the dark. Whether you need to find the neck support or towel, or you just want to check in with reality, you may turn the light on and off throughout the float.

After your Float:

  •  When your time is up, the light will come on. You’ll be encrusted in salt so squeegee your body and wring your hair leaving what you can in the tank.

  •  Shower to rinse off salt water.  There is complimentary shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. You may leave the towel in the room when you are done.  We do encourage you to bring a brush or comb for your hair after your float

More about our Float Tank

Our Float Tanks are filled with 10-12 inches of water heated to your skin temperature. As the water is the same temperature as your skin, there may come a point in your session when you don’t even feel the water touching your skin!

There is 1100 pounds of Epsom Salt dissolved in each float tank, making the water feel very silky and four times more buoyant than the Dead Sea.

There is an LED light inside the tank which you can choose to keep on or off. You can also enjoy a whole range of coloured light, should you choose to keep it on. We recommend keeping the tank lid closed to help regulate the water temperature. However, if you have issues with small confined spaces, it is fine to leave it open. The tanks are large enough to comfortably accommodate most people. Our tanks are fully filtered between each float therapy session.
